The pork fat on that Al Pastor taco was delicious. It wasn't chewy or slimy, it was sublime, perfectly cooked. Service was fun and friendly, and the staff was completely responsive. Something I look for in every restaurant is the employees' energy and the taco stand had plenty of it! I'd imagine it's a fun time, any time of the day! The atmosphere was social and welcoming. This place definitely gets my seal of approval! They're like the In-N-Out of Mexican food

I decided to dine in for lunch and was blown away by the entire experience. The food was phenomenal - perfectly seasoned, fresh ingredients, and generous portions that completely satisfied my taco cravings. The service deserves all five stars - the staff was attentive without hovering, super friendly, and made excellent recommendations when I couldn't decide what to order. They clearly take pride in what they're serving. As for the atmosphere, it's exactly what you want in a taco spot - lively but not overwhelming, clean, and has this authentic vibe that made me feel like I'd discovered a hidden gem. The decor is simple but charming, and there's plenty of seating even during the lunch rush. If you're in the Costa Mesa area, do yourself a favor and check this place out. I'm already planning my next visit to try more of their menu

Absolutely incredible! This taco stand is a hidden gem, the flavors are fresh, authentic, and packed with love. The tortillas were perfectly warm and soft, the fillings generous and full of flavor. The service was super friendly and welcoming too, making the whole experience even better. Easily one of the best tacos I’ve had — can’t wait to come back for more!

I come here all the time when I’m feeling down. The food is EXCELLENT. ESPECIALLY the carne asada fries (I’ve attached a picture). Their burritos are so good especially their shrimp. Tacos are a bit pricey but still delicious. Churros are so good. And the unlimited sauce bar is so clutch

We got off the plane at John Wayne and went straight for tacos. This was our first time to The Taco Stand and it did not disappoint. We ordered al pastor tacos, a grilled pescado (fish) taco and the carne asada fries. Everything was delicious. Just the right proportions. No skimping here. We could have been completely satisfied sharing the carne asada fries with its melty and stringy cheese, crispy fries and all the best toppings. The Salsa bar had all your favorite sauces and they got every one that we tried just right. We practically licked our plates clean. You salivate waiting for your order and its worth the wait. When she sassy calls your name don't expect to get up there to grab it before she calls again wondering what's taking you so long and not in a bad way, in a let's get down to business and eat some tacos way. Feels just like a taco stand only you don't have to wait outside. It have a mmall seating area which is probably the only thing they need more of but then it wouldn't feel like a taco stand. The locals seem to love it because the line was consistent and they mostly ordered burritos so we assume those are good too. We will be back. Likely tomorrow! Happy place!
